well it doesn’t make me feel anything, and i don’t really stan songs just because they make her sad, so why do i have to like it? i 100% think turning tables should have been in the setlist over it, DYR, IBW, etc. and i’ll die on that hill lol

besides, SLY has changed a lot in that regard as she literally said every night on tour, she used to be super emotional in that same way, but now to her it’s more meaningful in the way of continuing to connect people around her and her to everyone else. the fact that it’s gone viral again, especially this time with the singalong version, just in the past month proves it has 1000x the power and significance that TIA will ever hold no matter how sad she does or doesn’t sound singing it
